Testimonials from Leadership Aspire Alumni

I absolutely loved the time spent in Leadership Aspire. I feel the experience helped me to establish relationships with my fellow classmates, as well as apply the experiences in both my personal and professional life. It is a wonderful opportunity for anybody who wants to experience growth in all areas of their life.
— Mary Lee Williams, Community Living Supervisor
I think that people should know that there is so much more to being a leader than a job title. Anyone can make a difference given a chance to get to know themselves better and gain confidence.
— Amanda Maier, Administrative Assistant

During the class I learned a lot about myself as a person and as a leader. With the skills and insight developed during this last year, I became a better mother, wife, friend, and supervisor. If you want to improve yourself not only with work but in your personal life as well, I strongly encourage you to apply.
— Betsy Harry, Community Living Supervisor
I think that anyone, as long as they are truthful with themselves and is open to grow as not only a person, but as a leader, should apply for this. I know I took away something new at every single meeting throughout the entire year. We are working to build something great at Aspire throughout our workforce and I think that this can go a long way!
— Meranda Leidholdt, Director of Human Resources

The most important thing I learned is that a leader is a means to a bigger picture. I don’t have to be the boss or the supervisor to be a leader, however I need to lead with respect. I learned I have a voice and a right to be heard and listened to. If I ask a question I need to be willing to hear the answer. I highly recommend this experience for anyone that wants to grow personally and professionally.
— Marianne Dale, Creative Expressions Coordinator
When the application process began for me I was really hesitant, but I realized as the sessions went on that I was growing as a person. I was learning different things about myself, about my co-workers, and about the most important tool of being a leader; having effective communication. I would recommend this class to anyone, you will learn so much and have fun while doing it!
— Amber Locke, Community Living Supervisor
